The name lavender comes from the Latin lavāre, to wash, and the Romans used it to scent their clothes, bedding, bath water, and hair. 

In addition to being almost synonymous with relaxation, Lavender is prized in the West for its disinfectant and antiseptic qualities.

Many find that Lavender oil soothes headaches, anxiety and insomnia when applied to pulse-points or in a bedside diffuser.

Our stock is considered one of the most floral of all lavenders with sweet, woody, balsamic undertones.
