Learn the art & science of natural soap-making in Cornwall. 

In our 2-hour beginner's class, you'll learn a valuable new skill that will allow you to make your skin-friendly soap bars for years to come...

  • Actual length of session will depend on the number of people attending, but it  generally lasts 2 hours. 
  • Due to the costs involved, we can only offer refunds if given at least 7 days' notice.
  • No actual tickets are sent, however we will send  further information to the purchaser's email address. You do not need to bring anything with you - just yourself!
  • We cannot accept children under 12. 

Bloomtown founder Preya Culmer shares the passion and skill behind her multi-award-winning soaps, hand-crafted in Cornwall and stocked by the likes of the Eden Project, RHS & National Trust. 

Make your very own natural, nourishing soap using botanical ingredients. Our 2-hour beginners' workshop will teach you all you need to know to craft your own recipes, and you'll leave with a loaf (5-6 bars) of your very own custom soap to use yourself or give as gifts! Have fun playing around with different natural clay colourants, essential oils, and botanical exfoliants. 

*Just a note: in this beginner's workshop, your first bars will be somewhat rustic (see pictures), but once you get the hang of the basics, you'll able to apply your newly learned skills to create your own recipes and designs :)

Cant recommend enough

I've wanted to make soaps for a long time but it petrified me. Preyanka and Medwin are pretty awesome let's face it, it's a complicated process that they have made achievable for everyone.
I have since made three more bars on my own with their guidance, which has gone so well that I bourght the silicone moulds to make more, I am so thrilled it's such a huge achievement for me as this is a skill I need to live the life I have chosen (cryptic I know) these wonderful people have been amazingly supportive and kind. I will always be a customer for my favorate soaps and oils but how wonderfull for me to be able to make my own now too ❤

Thank you very much for a great afternoon.

I have just returned from a Bloomtown Soap making course. Preya and Medwin were amazing hosts, so welcoming and easy to talk to. The course was so much fun and so informative. I am hoping I can now have the confidence to make some fabulous soap at home with the help of what I have learnt today and the information sheet that we were given. Im very proud of my soap creations. I made an exfoliating soap with Spirulina, Peppermint, Coffee and Himalayan salt. It was amazing to have all the products to chose from to let our creativity go wild. What a great team you make. Sonia x

I attended a soap making workshop with Preya and Medwin last weekend, such a lovely afternoon. They are both so informative and shared their considerable knowledge and experience with us all. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend their workshops to anyone, you will learn an awful lot in a couple of hours believe me!

Such an amazing experience

Gemma and I have just got Back from a couple of hours learning how to make Artisan soap bars, such an amazing experience.

From the moment you step through the door the amazing fragrance hits your senses that takes you to a place of tranquility. Preyanka and Medwin are so welcoming, Preyanka’s knowledge on soap is second to none whilst she guides you through the science and process of soap making with ease and skill.

With a maximum of only 3 per group you really do get a personal touch, choosing your own combinations and getting to take home your truly unique soap, made just by you.

I really can’t recommend this experience enough! So much fun.
